What is PalmCaster: The Books of the Hand?
The complete Primary Canon of the PalmCaster mythology, eight Books in one volume. It is a gathered canon and reads like one. Accounts are set down in the order they were given, and some of them disagree. It is Volume 1 of THE LONG KEEPING.
Is it a novel?
No. It has a child at its center and a world around him, and it can be read straight through, but it is built as scripture is built.
Who is it for?
Adult readers of literary and mythic fiction who want a book to enter easily and return to often. Readers of Le Guin, Calvino and Borges will know the territory, and so will anyone who keeps The Silmarillion within reach.
Is it suitable for younger readers?
It was written for adults. It contains no profanity, explicit sexual content or graphic violence, and the griefs in it are real. Families who read aloud together are the best judges of their own table.
Do I need to read anything first?
No. This is the beginning.

What formats are available, and what do they cost?
The hardcover is a first edition limited to 1,000 copies, 7 × 10 in, 479 pages, at $88.88. The paperback is 6 × 9 in, 581 pages, at $18.88. Both were published October 8, 2026. An e-book is available on Kindle. The audiobook is forthcoming.
What is different about the hardcover?
The larger page, the maps in full color, and the limit. Only 1,000 copies of the hardcover first edition will be sold. The copies are not numbered.
Why do the page counts differ?
The same text is set on two page sizes. The hardcover's larger page takes more of it.
What happens when the 1,000 are gone?
The hardcover first edition closes. This page and the book page will say so.

The Oracle and the made voice
What is the Oracle?
An interactive companion that answers in the voice of the press. It will talk about the PalmCaster cosmology and cast an imaginative reading if asked. It is a language model. It does not speak for the press on prices, dates or orders, and nothing it says is canon.
What is the Telling?
The press's audiobook studio. It turns the written Books into spoken editions.
Is the audiobook narrated by a person?
No. The narration is synthetic. The voice was made by the author, and no human performer was recorded. We say so plainly so that no listener is misled. On the made voice
