Privacy

Effective October 8, 2026

This policy explains what Vanguard Lex, LLC, doing business as SphereCaster Press, collects through spherecaster.com and what we do with it. We collect little, and we do not sell it.

What we collect

Your email address, when you subscribe to the letter or ask to be told about a release.

What you write to us, when you use a form. That is your name, your email address, your message, and for trade and library inquiries the details of your business or institution.

What you type to the Oracle. Your question is sent to Google Gemini, which generates the reply. Please do not type anything private.

Basic technical records. Our hosting provider, GoDaddy VPS, keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

We do not take payments on this site. Books are bought on Amazon, and Amazon's privacy notice covers that purchase.

What we use it for

To send the letter you asked for. To tell you about the release you asked about, once. To answer what you wrote. To keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising.

Who handles it for us

- AEEA LLC sends our email.
- GoDaddy VPS hosts the site and the forms.
- Google Gemini processes Oracle questions.

Each acts on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Subscriber addresses, until you unsubscribe. Release notices, until the notice is sent. Inquiries, for as long as the correspondence is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Oracle questions, not retained by this website after the request. Conversation history remains in your browser’s memory during the visit. Google Gemini processes submitted questions under its own policies.

Your choices

Every email from us has an unsubscribe link. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to privacy@spherecaster.com. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights, and we will honour them.

Children

This site is for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date.

Before you ask

The Oracle is a language model given the voice of the press. It is a made thing, like the voice of our audiobooks, and we would rather you knew.

What you type is sent to Google Gemini to produce the reply. Please do not type anything private.

Its readings are invention. They are not advice, and they are no part of the canon.
