The book in brief

One line. A child neither immortal nor mortal is brought the broken things of the world and asks what was taken from them.

Fifty words. PalmCaster: The Books of the Hand is the complete Primary Canon of a single mythology, eight Books told as recovered scripture. At its center is OBOBO, born on the salt flats to a mortal woman and a watcher who came through heaven's door, who is brought the world's broken things and never asks who owns them.

One hundred words. A watcher set to guard a threshold saw what he was never meant to see, and heaven failed to close the door behind him. On a salt flat a woman gave him bread. Their child named himself OBOBO, and at three years old the town began bringing him its broken things. PalmCaster: The Books of the Hand gathers the complete Primary Canon of Todd R. G. Hill's mythology in one volume. It is told as scripture is told, in accounts that disagree, with a register of every name. It has no dark lord. It has three patient lies, and a question: what was taken from you that belonged to your being?
