SphereCaster Press publishes PalmCaster: The Books of the Hand
Todd R. G. Hill's eight-Book mythic canon appears in a limited hardcover first edition with maps in full color, and in paperback
Austin, Texas, October 8, 2026. SphereCaster Press today published PalmCaster: The Books of the Hand by Todd R. G. Hill, Volume 1 of THE LONG KEEPING. The hardcover first edition is limited to 1,000 copies and is set at 7 × 10 inches across 479 pages, with hand-rendered maps in full color. A 6 × 9 paperback is published the same day.
The volume gathers the complete Primary Canon of the PalmCaster mythology, eight Books in one binding. It is told the way old scripture is told, in the order the accounts were set down. Some of the accounts disagree. The book keeps a register of every name and runs from the making of the spheres to a garden of pale salt-flowers.
At the center is OBOBO, a child neither immortal nor mortal, born because heaven failed to close a door. From the age of three his town brings him its broken things. He does not ask who owns them. He asks what was taken from them that belonged to their being.
The book has no dark lord. Its adversaries are three patient lies, told about the dead, the past and the present.
The work is written for adult readers of literary and mythic fiction. It contains no profanity, explicit sexual content or graphic violence.
The hardcover is priced at $88.88 (ISBN 979-8-9965266-5-9) and the paperback at $18.88 (ISBN 979-8-9965266-1-1). Both are available now. An e-book is available on Kindle and an audiobook is forthcoming.
